Thahera Jalil, Marketing & Communications Manager
Salaams! I’m Thahera, Marketing and Communications Manager at Muslim Women Connect. By day, I also work in marketing within the design industry, I’m a freelance events photographer and an avid volunteer.
As a Muslim woman who grew up in a small town with a small Muslim community, it felt like a natural step to throw myself into as many opportunities as possible where I can meet, connect and network with other Muslims like myself.
I am so proud to see a programme dedicated to uplifting and empowering Muslim women and I can’t wait to watch this community grow even further and reach new heights, together.
Shakera Begum, Communications Officer
Salaams! I’m Shakera, Senior Communications Officer at Muslim Women Connect. I am responsible for creating and delivering content for some of the MWC digital channels, including the newsletters, online blogs and website. Alongside volunteering for MWC, I work full-time as a Senior Account Executive in the pharmaceutical industry.
I’m also a hobby baker, an avid reader, and an always-hungry foodie, who’s very passionate about bringing the community together!
